Dr Bhandari has rare distinction of performing the highest number of bariatric and metabolic procedures in Asia Pacific region and probably globally. Till date he has performed more than 18000 bariatric procedures. He has been the pioneer in starting Robotic Bariatric surgery in the country and was the first surgeon in the country to perform Robotic Duodenal Switch.

 

Dr Mohit Bhandari is also an Endoluminal weight loss specialist and is credited with performing one of the first and highest number of Endoscopic Sleeve Gastroplasty in the Asian subcontinent. He has also pioneered the largest series of single incision weight loss procedures ranging beyond 2000.



Dr Bhandari holds the position of Director of IBC- ASIA and he is also the Committee Member in IFSO Bariatric Endoscopy Board.



Dr Bhandari is the first surgeon in India to start with the Swallow Balloon with the Allurion Program and has already reached the mark of putting more than 150 balloons in just 5 months.



Dr Bhandari’s centre has been declared Ranked one weight loss surgery centre by Times of India, 3IC Research Consultants audit for 5 successive years in a row. He features into Limca book of records for performing highest number of bariatric procedures done at a Single Centre by a Single Surgeon, 25 cases in 11 hours’ time.



Dr Bhandari has published massively in the field of Bariatric Surgery publishing his work in all types of Bariatric Procedure including Endoscopic Procedures, Robotics and Single Incision Procedures.

He has published his work immensely in high Impact Journal’s and also hold the position of Reviewer in SOARD and Obesity Surgery.
